Looking back on 2022

Diary

Thank you for all of your help for the past year.

Special days such as the end of the year are wonderful.
By having this special day decided, the world can come together and take a special action.
Conversely, if there were no special events, each person would create their own special day, but it would not be possible to act as one with the world.
Even if I don’t do anything, the world will naturally give it the air of a special day, so I can relax and enjoy it. . .
That’s excellent.

Well, I also had ICL surgery, but I will write about it in the next article.
I would like to look back on 2022 here because it looks like it will be the last blog of the end of the year.
*Completely subjective

1 : Shocking invasion of Ukraine

I never thought that the war would be as big as it is now.
It was so shocking that I researched the history of Ukraine and Russia, NATO, Mr. Putin and Mr. Zelensky.
During my research, I was even more shocked.
It was just that I didn’t know that small wars were more frequent.
I was glad that I was born Japanese, and at the same time, I felt that I should have known this.
It’s been almost a year, and I still can’t predict how this will end.

2 : Weak Yen, interest rate hikes, recessions, etc…

The interest rate hike started in January, but I was completely unaware of it as I had low financial literacy.
Around June, I noticed…
It’s about the timing when the weak yen to about 140 yen to a dollar.
I didn’t do stocks at all, but while I was researching about this weak yen, I gathered various information such as “What was the 20 million yen pension problem?” and NISA.
After much thought, I started Tsumitate NISA, IDECO, and Junior NISA.
I now wish,,, I had known about it sooner.
Without this weak yen, I would not have started NISA at all, so I am grateful.
For me, it was the biggest event of the year.

3 : I was sick at COVID-19

I wanted to write an article about this as well, but I was too busy to do so.
In early December, my wife and I tested positive, but it was strange that our children were not affected at all.
It was really good.
However, I had a burning pain in my throat, it was difficult to swallow, and I was speechless.
My taste was normal.
I was no side effects, thankfully.

4 : I underwent ICL surgery

I just finished my ICL surgery.
It’s been about a week now since the surgery.
Details will be described in the next article, but I feel that ICL surgery has both advantages and disadvantages.
I hope things settle down after a month.

5 : Actually, around November, my wife was hospitalized for about a week.

My wife was in the hospital with intestinal inflammation for about five days to be exact.
She had a high fever for a long time and it was hard.
And I was worried that I would have to look after my children while working while she was in the hospital.
However, I thought that this was also a good opportunity, and I was going to do my best on my own.
But,,, my wife’s mother and my wife’s sister helped me in many ways,,, So, they helped me more than I expected.

Family ties are deep and important.
Thank you very much.
At the same time, I realized once again how important my wife is.

There are others…

You can write up to here once.
However, 2022 was a stormy year.
Will 2023 be a bigger year?
Every time I think, “I wish everyone was happy,” but I guess it’s the world that doesn’t work out that way.

See you soon!
